Fellowship | Fellowships at the State Library of Victoria | Applications for 2016 now open

SlVThe State Library’s fellowship program is one of the most substantial in Australia. Each year, the Library offers Creative Fellowships to encourage the original and imaginative use or development of the Library’s collections for new work.

The Library also provides a number of fellowships to support and recognise the importance of scholarly endeavour in areas ranging from children’s literature and colonial history to Victorians’ experience of World War I.

The fellowships are funded by the State Library Victoria Foundation and other program partners, and are awarded annually on the advice of independent expert panels.

The 2016 fellowship program is now open:

Note: Applications for the 2016–17 fellowships open on Monday 1 February and close on Sunday 17 April 2016.

Please read the fellowship guidelines and see the individual fellowship pages for application forms.

The following fellowships will not be offered in 2016:

  • AGL Shaw Summer Fellowships
  • Berry Family Fellowship
  • La Trobe Society Fellowship

To find out more about this year’s fellowship program, you can attend the information night on Thursday 18 February at 6pm, in the Library’s Village Roadshow Theatrette (enter via Entry 3 on La Trobe Street).
