Marketing and Events Manager @ TWMA

The position is located at the TarraWarra Museum of Art and is responsible for strategically planning and implementing the Museum’s marketing in order to promote exhibitions, collections and associated programs and events. The purpose of the role is to increase visibility of the Museum to a diverse public including tourists to the Yarra Valley; and to increase audiences. The Marketing and Events Manager is responsible for the design brief of invitations and marketing collateral. They will write and produce the e-news, social media posts and website updates. In 2018-19 the Manager will brief and manage the roll out of a new website. The position is also responsible for liaison with tourism organisations and assists in the delivery of the annual Australian Chamber Orchestra weekend. In addition the role will coordinate the organisational aspects of events and programs at the Museum and liaise closely with Medialink, the Museum’s media advisors.

SAM is looking for a Marketing Officer full time for a 12 month parental leave period.

The position requires excellent written communication skills, a working knowledge of social media and the online community, strategic thinking ability and good time management skills. An ability to develop and nurture positive internal and external working relationships is essential.

Prospective applicants must have a relevant degree/diploma with relevant work experience in the field of marketing, communications, journalism and / or public relations.
