Narelle Jubelin: Vision in Motion

Narelle Jubelin, BOX 1999 Rose Seidler House, Turramurra, NSW, architect Harry Seidler, 1951 cotton thread on cotton mesh petit point rendition, photo by Anna McMahon

Art comes face to face with architecture in this major project by Sydney artist Narelle Jubelin. Vision in Motion animates an Australian history of modernism, presenting a survey of Jubelin’s intricately sewn petit point needlework of the past three decades alongside newly commissioned works inspired by architecture and the built environment.

Guest curators: Ann Stephen and Luke Parker

Meijers + Walsh | The Collector 7: The Processor of Circumstance

The latest instalment of the superfiction ‘Henri Papin – The Collector’ by Hobart-based artists Meijers + Walsh. Deriving traits from literary and cinematic figures, this ongoing project examines aspects of social anthropology through the development of an obsessive character and psychological schema within a series of large scale sculptural installations.

Also showing: Dissonant Visions

Curated works from the Monash University Collection to accompany Vision in Motion. Dissonant Vision presents works by a number of artists from Jubelin’s formative Sydney milieu, including Ian Burn, Rosemary Laing, Tracey Moffat, Jacky Redgate and others.
