This extraordinary model was part of Dubourg’s collection of cork models of sites from classical antiquity, exhibited in London in the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries. Major conservation and restoration work has been undertaken on the Royal Exhibition Building and Carlton Gardens over the past four decades.
