Job | Head Curator – Artbank

Deadline: Tue, 19th December 2017

Artbank is a unique Australian arts organisation and we are looking for someone new to join our team.

Artbank is a program of the Australian Government that directly supports contemporary artists through the acquisition of their work while actively promoting the value of Australian visual art to both the public and private sectors. Operating successfully for over 35 years, Artbank is a largely self-sustaining organisation that generates revenue through the loaning of artworks on a commercial basis. The Artbank collection of approximately 10,000 artworks are leased by private, commercial and government clients, and Australian embassies around the world as well as being loaned for exhibitions around the country.

We balance the running of a sustainable business against our other objectives of support and promotion. To this end, we run a diverse array of curatorial and client lead programming which includes exhibitions, commissioning, forums, private functions, publications and other public engagement activities.

Artbank is a dynamic and progressive organisation operated by a passionate and highly skilled team of arts professionals – of which you could be one.
