The Melbourne UNESCO City of Literature Office is providing opportunities for smaller press publishers and independent artists to participate in this year’s NGV Arts Book Fair free-of-charge.
The inaugural Fair in 2015 attracted over 16,000 visitors and showcased the work of over 100 publishers, artists, designers and writers.
Returning in 2016, the Melbourne Art Book Fair is a unique platform bringing together emerging and established publishers, artists, writers and designers to provide visitors with access to artists’ books, catalogues and monographs, periodicals and independent publications, all in the one venue at NGV International.
The Fair is also a unique design experience; visitors in 2016 will delight in an architectural commission by Bangkok-based artist Wit Pimkanchanapong who will transform the NGV’s Great Hall. The Melbourne Art Book Fair will also feature a dynamic program of free talks, discussions and performances, as well as spaces to enjoy food and drinks and music.
The Melbourne UNESCO City of Literature Office is offering free places at the Book Fair for independent publishers and small press to promote their work.
