Also this is slightly old news by now as it was announced way back on the 27th February but it is worth noting nonetheless. ACCA has announced that its longtime artistic director (since 2002) Juliana Engber is to leave ACCA and Australia to take up an appointment take up a new role as Programme Director for the European Capital of Culture Aarhus 2017. You can read the full ACCA press release here. The departure of Engberg, who has been a major figure in Australian contemporary art, may well see a shift in the curation of contemporary art not only at ACCA, but across Australia.
