“For Auld Lang Syne”: A curator’s perspective

Associate Professor Alison Inglis, co-curator of the exhibition, For Auld Lang Syne: Images of Scottish Australia from First Fleet to Federation will talk about the development of this ground-breaking presentation of Scottish visual culture in colonial Australia.  The exhibition brings together over 300 objects from public and private collections across Australia and from England, and is currently on view at the Art Gallery of Ballarat (until 27 July 2020). The lecture will discuss the themes underpinning the selection of objects, the exhibition design and interpretation, and the contents of the catalogue.
