The Primacy of Drawing

Professor Deanna Petherbridge CBE, artist and writer

The Primacy of Drawing is written from the perspective of a practitioner and by juxtaposing contemporary and historical works. Author, Deanna Petherbridge investigates how thinking and making are linked within the linearity and immediacy of drawing, the strategies and materials artists employ and how drawing relates to other forms of visual practice.
